TFA OC: Communiqué

I posted the inks on my DevArt account a while back, but I finally got it all colored up a few weeks ago. And I did post it on my LJ, but I keep forgetting to get it up on DA... Anyway, yeah. Autobot femme OC Communiqué.

Her alt mode is a swift and her original function was as a communications and dispatch officer. I've got a fairly detailed history worked out for her (which gives her history with Ratchet, GO FIGURE) and if all goes well, I'll be using her for some Nexus-based role play over on Livejournal. Whoooo.

Nightfall - I'm so used to the design of it now, I usually forget to mention it, but yes! You are spot on. I originally designed Communiqué for a G1 RPG and took design aspects from BW Airrazor, G1 Divebomb and Alia from the Mega Man X games. At the time, the roomies and I had just bought the MMX collection and were playing through it and I was reminded of my love for the older school MM and MMX stuff. I figured that if robots like X and Zero had a use for navigators, Cybertronians would as well. 'Bots like Communiqué run the communications hubs, dispatch medical and emergency crews to the field and basically act as the extra sets of optics using special Skyspies so Autobots in the field are less likely to be ambushed (since most of them lack flight capable alt modes and would be open to air-based assault from 'Cons).


Soundwave - Thanks! :D I had no idea what happened with the forums until recently when I came over to log in and found my bookmark led to all sort of garbled text. And I'm fairly pleased with the colors, myself... Was trying to actually give her a color scheme close to the bird she's based on without going too dark. Communiqué came online partway through the Great War; she's not as old as Ratchet, but obviously she's older than the rest of Prime's crew. Her connection with Ratch came about because of her job (see above response to Nightfall), so the two had fairly regular communications contact within the same field sectors while on the job.

Thanks much! :D And I am terribly biased, but...oh how I do like seeing Ratchet (heck, any version) alongside a femme. Working medical is stressful and often a thankless job, after all. There should be some positive attention given! XD
