And so concludes the Last Resort storyline. It was quite a ride.

It's going to be interesting to see how the comic continues.

Wow, Ratchet. While I admit this was some heavy lifting after a difficult night (Sunday night is just not my friend), it was an incredibly impactful way to end the arc (hopefully not the series). Oh, I WISH IDW was taking notes from reading you. You've managed to make a single human's death resonate more than they did half of the population of New York City *sigh* and bring us back around to the major themes of the story without any kind of futzing with the continuity.
In my own little obsessed and seeking for meaning mind I wonder if this is the kind of pennance required to absolve the Autobots for bringing their war here. I know it was unintentional, but by taking the war off-world they have to have imagined that other species just might have gotten involved.
Anyway, I like that you've left enough loose ends to bring us to a new arc relatively cleanly, but you've narrowed our focus enough that we can watch future events develop without getting distracted by random elements.
And poor, shellshocked Bluestreak. I feel so bad for him. He followed orders, supposedly the right thing to do in this situation, and he's confronted with his absolute worst nightmare. Please let him find a friend soon, Docbot.
Oooh, how about the Continuing Adventures of Bluestreak and Reflector!?
I guess they're not so useless now, huh?

I have to say, I was near tears when I read the ending. Metaphorically anyway...I was so sad about how it ended. though not surprised. I feel so bad for Bluestreak.
I know this is the end of the arc...but I know you got more ideas brewing right?
great emotional ending, Docbot. Very effective...comic writers/artists can take tips from you.

Man, I kinda feel like an idiot for saying this, but I feel like I'm missing something here... Is this permanently it for the Autobots (minus Blue, obviously) stationed on earth? I mean, 'Streak ended up having to do what Prime told him does that mean the rest of the Ark is, well, dead now? With Bluestreak being the only one left standing there at the end my skewed interpretations are making me think of the worse case scenario here.
...Eh, like I said I'm probably missing something somewhere. If it's not too much trouble would you mind setting my processor straight, Docbot? *twiddles thumbs*
Now, umm, as for the piece itself. Another excellent job, Ratch. Once again you shared a story that climaxed spectacularly and left us 'Bots wanting more. Everytime I read your works it makes me wish you were able to *cough*takeover*cough*supervise the comic writing "powers that be" at IDW. They need someone like you.

Yes, I know the story right now looks horribly grim. However, I ask that you trust me. I'm not going to give anything away, I am currently finalizing at least the first part of the new story arc, we shall see how it goes...

I'm glad you offered us that glimmer of hope for the future, Docbot, because I gotta be honest, I was really depressed and wondering what the frag.
But as you remind us: this is Transformers! No one stays dead for too long!
Right????????????????????????
I did like this ending A LOT, though.

I have no clue where you plan to take it from here but damn if I don't mind. You've done such an awesome job thus far.
Though I did have an awful scare that you were actually ending the whole story there. So now I'm especially happy I signed on and checked here

Well, if memory serves, Tracks is still out there with Raoul unless I'm forgettin' somethin', and it seems to only have effected those 'bots somewhere near the Ark, so anyone off planet still works... who knows what unaccounted for characters you could bring in that way...
Anyone mentions Metroplex I will personally step on them.

Yes Slagpit is right... not everyone was around to get caught in that blast... I will be able to talk more about it once the story gets going a little, I'm always worried about giving away too much and I don't want to ruin it for anyone.
