Hokay, since I'm going to be here a lot, and since I miss rp, anyone interested in me starting somthing?

I am! I'll promise to post at least once a day, but can't commit to more than that. Will that be OK?
That's alright by me. Any thoughts on what you'd want to RP? or shall I weave something from my mindspaces?

I wouldn't mind, but with my limited access at the moment, I'd be more a liability than an assett. Perhaps after I get things straightened back out in my life.
So long as you can post at least a couple of times a week, it's all good. I'm looking for something consistent like the Plane of Souls. It might be slow... but it keeps plodding along. Mostly.

I'm cool with anything. I'd even be willing to get my OC out of mothballs if you want her for some variety. I'm fine with slow pacing.
If I run something, I'm considering how to do it. I like the mix that Plane of Souls has due to the "anyone who has ever died ever" schtick it's got going. Beyond that though, It might be something with transformers, it might not. It likely will be... but it might be changed up a bit.
This includes placing TFs in some sort of other film/game setting like Star Wars or Zelda, or maybe changing the era played.
Also, there is a setting I've been playing around with for a bit that is basically like a combination of Fallout and Toy Story, if you're interested in that.

You had me at Fallout! <8D
If it's similar to what we did on Skype, that'd be cool. Especially if we didn't *have* to play a Transformer. Cuz... yeah... kinda tired of RPing TFs. >.>;
It would be precisely that setting, yes. So I take it that's 1?

Never played Fallout, can't say I really intend to play Fallout... however, your "TFs in different genres" makes sense for LF, since one of my original ideas for him was to be stuck in a kinda Quantum Leap style adventure hopping from one video game universe to the next, each time as, like, the central intelligence of a structure... like once he might be a Colossus from Shadow of the Colossus, then next he could be the inner workings of the Pandora Temple from God Of War, followed by a hop, skip, and a jump into one of MegaMan's levels
Well, it's not Fallout persay... I just use the game as an example on account of its dystopian, post-apocalyptic nature. That said, one of the 6 main toy races in my setting is transformable robot toys.

I'm definitely in. And I could probably entice Hound with some RP too! (The death of the RP here was the main reason she's been so absent...she doesn't do much small talk.)
Only thing is, I'm worried what TOO much stucture would do to the RP. I'm not talking about an abscence of all plot...I'm talking about things dying because everyone's waiting for the other people to meet their predetermined marks. As long as the plot is there AND flexible and I'm ALL IN!

This. It's happened quite a bit before and I'd hate to see another RP fall victim.

I'd be interested in this, but I'd definitely like to know more about the setting. I get toy crossover and I get post apocalyptic, but putting them together is kinda breaking me brains.
Yes, bring back the hound dawg. And get her to post in the Plane of Souls too.
In regards to people not meeting their predetermined mark or whatever, that is always an issue, yeah. to that end, I've experimented with "narrative stasis" in Skype RP, but that won't work quite as well here. Most likely, it'd be based on a "honor-like" system. We're taking this one slowly. Post when you can, at least a couple of times a week. That said, if you can post more, by all means. But try not to outpace others too much. That'll help the flow, and that'll help others keep up. And if you know you won't be able to post for longer than a few days, then let folks know [in brackets or parenthesis]. At that point, I'll work some narrative stuff, whether it's outside sources seperating you from the party, or me playing your character for a bit. In the case of the second option, we'd of course need to talk.
Anyhow, on to the meat and potatoes you all want to know about apparently, the setting.
Humans are absent, and toys have somehow gained life. The world as far as you know it is set within this massive toy store. Beyond its walls is to beconsidered as outer space, at least for now. You can compare it with the flat Earth theory. Instead of people believing the world is flat, they think it's walled. There's nothing beyond the walls, and if you tried to go out there, you'd fall out of the world... so... not preferable.
Pretty much most toys have achieved life. It's unknown how, just as it's unkown why there are no humans. Humans are mythological creatures, akin to creators, or titans, or monsters. Seen only in pictures and posters found throughout the remains of the store, elsewise the toys would have no knowledge of our existance. Toys just accept they're alive and leave the rest to metaphysical musings of philosophers, much the same as us. When a toy is alive, their plastic becomes softer, more flexible, and allows for movement that would normally not be capable. Clothing and armor become more realistic and seperate from the molding. Weapons become more weaponlike, and can actually fire or slash. Basically, they become real living beings with real gear and equipment, but still made of plastic. They can be hurt, and they can die. Wounds don't typically bleed (some toys can) but they can be extremely dehabilitating. And upon death, the toy returns to a hardened plastic like state, becoming duller and losing some of their color as the life goes out of them. Any toys still in the original packaging are in a stasis like state, sort of like cryostasis. As soon as the seal is broken, they start to come out of it and come alive. Aside from that, toys don't need to eat, don't need to breathe, and don't need to use the little toy's room. They just are.
There are six main categories/races of toys, but if you'd like to play something outside of that, it can be arranged. You'd just be a kind of oddity. The main races are action figures, fashion dolls, baby dolls, little green/tan army men, transformable robots, and building blocks. I'm stearing away from tradmarked names here, and the examples below are just for an idea of what they are. None of the standard trademarks exist in this world.
Action figures are usually about 4-6 inches tall, but can be anywhere from 3 to 12 inches tall. Clearly, the big ones can be formiddibale fighters. They can be any sort of design, from soldier, to western, to sci-fi. Usually (I say usually, because toys are diverse) they're fairly fit, and are moderately agile and strong. Action figures make great adventurers, mercenaries, and professional soldiers in this world. Example: G.I. Joe
Fashion dolls are tall slender things that are usually about 8-12 inches tall. However, some might be as short as 5 inches. Their appearance is beautiful, and they're fairly smart. In the world of the toy store, they're normally merchants, diplomats, and advisors. basically any profession where charm and diplomacy are particularly useful. That said, some try their hand at the soldiering trade too... but not often, because of their relationship with baby dolls. Example: Barbie
Baby dolls are lumbering brutes with lower intelligences and massive strength. They're usually 12-18 inches tall, and most of that is hardened muscle. They have something of a symbiotic relationship with fashion dolls, acting like body guards for them and keeping them safe (bigg daddys and little sisters anyone?). Chances are, if you see a baby doll, a fashion doll is somewhere close by... Unfortunately for many a slave trading marauder thinking they've made good out on the roads of The Wilds... the opposite is also true. Example: Cabbage Patch Kids.
Army men are what they say on the tin, little army men. They're one of the smaller races, at only 2-4 inches tall, but they're extremely numerous, adaptable, and deadly. There are two armies, green and tan, that are constantly at war with one another in the world of the toy store. Each side offers their professional soldiering to the other races, and the various politics within, and thus live in a symbiotic relationship with them. However, they are much more pragmatic than any of the other races save the building blocks... You know how it's said that Native Americans used every piece of the bison when they killed one? well... the army men have a similar outlook. They alone have mastered the technique for melting down fallen soldiers into molds to create new weapons and soldiers. Morbidly... green soldiers carry tan weaponry... and vice versa. They're also contracted to melt down dead toys of other races, in order to create medical treatments and the like. Because of their procreative nature, many toys with a more negative outlook believe that the reen and tan armies will still be fighting each other long after all other toy's have gone on into the abyss of death. Example: little green army men... duh
Transformable robots can be anywhere from 2-24 inches tall. Aside from that, do I really need to describe them any more? I think everyone here knows what they're like. They transform into various other things, and require powering up to be at full effectiveness. Batteries, extension cords, and power outlets are very precious commodities to them. Tech levels are high, but due to being in a constant war (two factions >.>) weaponry and energy are rationed out accordingly Example: ... Gobots <.<
Lastly, Building Blocks are... different. My original concept for them was basically lego people with hella cool tech that they can make anything they want. It would just require power sources like batteries. Well, since playing Mass Effect, that's changed a bit. Now they're more like the Geth. They have a legoesque person core, but then have built up around that with multiple blocks to form larger exoskeletons. the larger and more complex the exoskeleton, the stronger it is, but the more likely it is to have a weakpoint... but add more lego people cores, and it becomes smarter and more capable of exerting its will over other lego cores nearby. This could be fun to play, but tricky hive mentality. Lego person core is 2 inches tall, while the resulting exoskeletons range from 7-30 inches tall... sometimes larger at the expense of mobility. Example: Lego
As for the environment, inside the store (world), many of the shelving units, counters, and areas of the ceiling and insulation have fallen down/apart. This creates a destroyed city/barren wasteland like expanse of dangerous corridors and rubble. This area is known as The Wilds. It's dangerous, it's largely unexplored, and it's filled with marauders and ferocious monsters/creatures. Stuffed animals for instance are terrifying creatures without any internals that can be harmed. Shooting them is nigh ineffective, as is stabbing. This isn't your parents' teddy bear. That said, beyond the danger there is potentially plenty of loot or treasure to be had in The Wilds. Because it's unexplored, there is plenty of potential adventure to be had.
There are various cities throughout the Wilds, maintained by various political factions and races and connected mostly by roads. If you'd like more info on those, I can provide that in another post, as this one has grown overly long.

Still sounds as good to me now as it did when you first introduced it on Skype. Think I'll get to work on drawing a picture of Toodles.

. . . This sounds amazing. And I need to get back into posting around here. >.> I would like to submit that I should limit myself to one post a day, but I'll need reminding to get that post done. If you guys can help me keep coming back to check out the RP scene around here, I think I'd love to get into this RP! Now. To figure out who to play . . .
Also, I'd like to point out that since this will be a "1-3 posts a week" deal, it'd help if you wrote at least a paragraph if not more describing your actions. If you're in a conversation with someone that involves only a sentence or two being said, then add a line or two that details how your character feels about what's being said to them, or a sentence describing a mannerism or nervous tic during conversation.

I'm definitely in. And I could probably entice Hound with some RP too!
*sniff sniff* Is that RP I smell?
(The death of the RP here was the main reason she's been so absent...she doesn't do much small talk.)
Eheh... >.>; Guilty...
I am... intregued by the idea of the building blocks hive-mind folks. (I have played Mass Effect, tho not the sequel...) If there's still room, I may give one of them a shot. If dat's hokay.
oh there's plenty of room, come on in, the water's fine. Head over to the "Welcome to Toymart" thread and we can begin plotting a character for you.

Not going to lie this does sound like a lot of fun ^^;
Much like Hound I evaporated when the rp did >.>
So yeah I'm in.
Though like others it'll be one post a day for me ^^;
All I ask is 1-2 posts a week for it honestly. I don't mind it going slowly.
