[Ratchet]

I wanted Devastator to make a really big entrance... So of course I just had to draw him in an impossible position which made it difficult for reference shots.
Also I wanted to build up a lot of drama with Starscream and Shockwave.
Nothing can withstand the Devastator! ...Actually I say that a lot in real life.

LOL, Starscream is being his usual difficult self and refusing to cooperate. But I did go 'Yeah!' when he said, "Make me." :D The blur effect on Shockwave was a really nice touch.

Can't wait to see the looks on their faces when Bruticus shows up. ;)

That entire page just had me squealing with delight. Shockwave sneaking up and pointing his gun at Starscream, the close up on Starscream with his "Make me", Devastator... GUH! I'm amazed at your ability to fit so much win onto one page!
And I agree. The blurring on Shockwave was awesome.

I loved this one! Devastator looks great! I did kinda chuckle at the idea of Starscream just sitting in the dark....was he being emo? Was he taking a nap?

EDIT: The "sitting in the dark is funny" bit is a horrible part of myself being all snarky and evil. The comic was great! *kills the evil part of herself. Almost nothing is left*

haha! My favorite parts where Devastator's *booming* footsteps, Shockwave being threatening, Devestator's panel and Starscream's impassioned "Make me!"

Seriously my adrenaline spiked while reading the THUD, THUD (Shockwave:ahhh!) THUD, RWAAR! That was my favorite part of this story arc so far!

Is it sad that I got so pumped up from finishing the comic last night that I actually had trouble sleeping? ... lol

I got the idea for Shockwave blurring at Devastator's footsteps from Dreamwave, who often used effects like that in their comics. (Their comics are like reading anime still frames)

The comic can be viewed in a metaphorical manner. Starscream sitting in the dark on Megatron's chair/throne meaning he is the sole Decepticon authority for the time being. He also knows of the Constructicons arrival and is calmly awaiting the confrontation.

Shockwave, wanting Starscream to give up his position as leader, demands that he stop sitting in Megatron's chair, a symbol of Megatron's power.

And then Devastator comes in. There's really no symbolism here, only -DEVASTATOR SMASH.

I was really tempted to just drawing the comic as Devastator/Bruticus duking it out, but I figured some set up is neeed at least.
I also love using Shockwave, he colours well and his cold logic is a great foil from a character like Starscream, who I love writing for. (And who I haven't used a lot since he became leader ironically)

As it turns out I seem to have caused some minor damage to my wrist over the course of the weekend. I should have it up and running again, I just need a few days to repair it. (One handed repairs and all)
Luckily Megs is going to give us one of his comics of pure win for Thursday's update.

Shockwave looks like he's some superpower character with his hand charging superpower :P (showing off his laser)
