Last Stand o' th' Wreckers: L2PLAY, N00B!
BOO-YAH!!
Just got a peek at Issue #1, and gotta say, I must verily purchase this when it comes out in TPB! Even though it's SCARY-VIOLENT. FORT-MAX! OWWWW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I liked him! Overlord: Am I the only one who thinks he's the GAYEST TF IDW EVER MADE? I figured TFWiki would've had a field day with him, but not a peep. But seriously, "Join me in my quarters, and you may choose your reward"??? I wouldn't have twitched about that line if, say, anyone else had said it. But with the way Overlord's been actin', if I were Kick-Off, I'd be nervous. Seriously, I love Overlord. He squicks me somethin' fierce, but I love him to slag. He throws 'Bots into the crowd to be torn apart, which HORRIFIES me, and I still think he's more fun than we've had in this series in a long, long time. Final word: Even though I have no idea who most of the bots in this book are, I still had a ton of fun readin' it. FUN. Remember what that is, IDW?!?!? Also: IMPACTOR! I'm enough of a comic-books nerd to know who he is, now! Huzzah! Thus I have spoken. Looking forward to MOAR NICK AND JOSH-ly GOODNESS! (I love you guys! *sniffle*)

WooT for good comix, Boss! And the Wiki does mention that the former incarnation (or should that be in-titanium-nation as they don't have much in the way of "carn" but I digress) of Overlord had both a male and female component (it was Japanese, go figure) so that may be what is informing his "fey" ness. He actually reminds me a bit of a decadent Roman emperor, and they were WONDERFUL villians.
This is definitely a TPB I'll be getting when it's published.

Looks like a slag-ton of people enjoyed Last Stand of the Wreckers #1 so much that Nick Roche has declared the release week for #2 as Wreckers Awareness Week!
I cannot tell you how much this made me wiggle in sheer joy.
