Starscream DrunkNoooo I don't want to be in Transformers: The movie 2

April 28th , 2008

Well it's up a little late tonight, but I was feeling inspired tonight and decided to go that little extra way and do some shading on the Constructicons, put in backgrounds, etc. I can't always do it when I don't have the time, but once in a while I like to try. It really makes it look nicer.

Thank you once again to everyone that has donated to the site's forum. We're almost there! I'm going to leave up the donation for another week, then I'll see if I can kick in the rest and get us our software and license. The next hard part will be installing and trying to get everything over.
Also on the subject of site maintenance - after I finally got myself caught up with the robots page I have 6 new Decepticons and Ravage to add to it... sigh. Heh heh. I'm having a lot of fun with the Constructicons, moreso than I originally thought.

Constructicons! ..Many Constructicons... that took many an hour to draw. But I wasn't going to cheap out - one thing I like doing in my comics is showing their transformations. After all, it IS the coolest part of Transformers and their namesake. It was kind of interesting while I was drawing them for the first time, I didn't even realize I had almost never been Bonecrusher or Longhaul in their robot forms. (They were always 'the other Constructicons') In fact the Constructicons individually have never been used a whole lot, only a few of them have really distinct personalities, but maybe we can play around with that... getting into their heads is an experience, and we haven't even brought up Devastator yet!

Again, thanks for everyone's support with the forums :) We're almost there! People have been asking me how they could help out if they don't have a credit card (since currently you can donate on the main page with paypal.) Well, if you really are interested, you can always drop me a line here, and maybe we can work something out.

Today's comic goes back to the original Soundwave plot which started here - and continues on with the Dedication storyline.
If anyone wondered why Ravage never made an appearance before - it was simply because I thought he might be a pain to draw. ...Did I succeed or not? I'll let you decide that... lol
I'm trying to get into introducing/using more robots. This specific storyline has been great to focus on a few characters, but I also need to bring the rest in sometime.

First of all let me say thank you to everyone that has donated to our forum fund so far :) We're getting there! I couldn't be doing this without everyone and their support. In fact, it's because of everyone that we have a need for a decent forum and to be honest I couldn't be happier about it. I'm looking forward to it - and in fact I've been meaning to give the site a bit of an appearance upgrade too lately - it's been almost 2 years without a new look I think it's about time for it.
(Don't worry, Starscream's not really in charge of the money, we just give him some energon and he's happy)

Today's comic goes back to the Dedication storyline, and back to more goofiness to contrast the previous very serious panels.

So I think I've found the forum that we're going to be switching to. It's called Vbulletin and I think it will do the job for us. (The security admin looks especially good).
It costs money however, but it's cheap enough that I think we can easily afford it if some people help out.
You can make a donation here:

In return, Megatron has said he can draw donators' original characters if they want - 'within limits' he tells me. (heh heh)

So today you see my therapeutical reaction to yesterday's hacking. The other story is because I had to spend my night on the site I didn't have the time to draw a proper comic. But I hope you find it at least amusing in some small way.

In the meantime, I'll be getting back to watching more hockey playoff madness. Actually that's what I'll be doing tomorrow too $$.

I didn't have time to post more profiles tonight, but it's on my priority list. We're getting there!

April 9th , 2008

Quick news update before I go into recharge for the evening. The forums were hacked sometime this afternoon, forcing me to spend the night fixing up the site. Although it was fairly productive and I managed to upload some new profiles on the robots page. Check it out :) I've got many more to upload which I'll get around to tomorrow.

Thanks for everyone for hanging in there with me, luckily *knocks on wood* the forums are all back and nothing was lost.

Still fighting my cold... or as I've come to call it, my man cold. There is nothing more bed paralyzing. And NO, I don't care if the Protectobots CAN fix me, I'm going to wait this thing out and get better myself. ...And complain.

In non-cold related news, I've worked hard on this final installment of the Dedication flashback, where it illustrates the past relationship of Skywarp and Thundercracker.

April 3rd , 2008

Well, new month... new news page!
I've been quite busy this week... I had some extra work to do Monday night (all Monday night) and I was worried I'd be unable to get a decent comic off for today, especially continuing in the flashback style. So I tried something different tonight - After I was happy I had enough pictures to use I coloured with a different style brush and lighter opacity (on the background, the characters are the same). I was curious to see what it would look like - I wanted the aftermath of a battle we never saw to look as 'messy' as possible. Of course the critical part of me says that the whole thing now just looks like one big 'mess'. ...But I'll let you decide.
In other Autobot related news, I have come down with a virus. =/
