Comics in Disguise

Skyfire and Ratchet Transformers G1
It's a bird, it's a plane - no it's a flying police car!

The best part about my new laptop is that I can work on the comic when I'm not necessarily at my computer at home. So I can be 'somewhat social'. It worked tonight because my friends are all playing Warmachine/Warhammer 40k in front of me as I coloured the comic.

One of the player's girlfriends came over to talk to me for a bit while I coloured, I was zoomed in on Jazz at the time so she couldn't tell what I was working on. She was like, "This is maybe a little too geeky for me, what are you working on?" And I'm like, ".....drawing stuff." "Oh... what are you colouring?" Me, "Uh... ink drawing."

Because if she's calling table gaming geeky, I'm not ready to show her my Transformers webcomic >_< ha ha...
Of course I wouldn't change it for the world.

Enjoy! More Autobot vs. Decepticon fueled mayhem!

Today I dedicated my entire day to this comic... writing, drawing, and then colouring it. I felt bad for having to put up a non-sequitor on Thursday, only because I've been building up the tension for so long in the storyline.

Today's comic addresses a discussion I had been planning for Springer and Arcee after this Dedication comic and this Retribution comic. The full story details of Thundercracker and Arcee's past relationship haven't been detailed completely yet so don't worry, you're not missing anything else. I tried hard to get the artwork to look good to make up for Thursday's lack of drawing and because I can't really reuse my artwork anymore for the current comics it took a while, but I'm happy about how it turned out. I had some hesitation with the dialogue... whenever things get a bit emotional I wonder how it's going to go.

I always felt sorry for Skyfire. He was always such a nice Autobot, and the Autobots completely used and abused him until in season 3 and the end of 2 when they decided they didn't need him anymore. Then he sort of just disappeared... that always made me sad.

This week I had hockey all Tuesday night, which impeded comic drawing, especially because the Monday previous was a holiday and I was out all day. So I brought together an idea I had been wanting to do for months and months which was make a tribute comic to Skyfire.

Today's update is going to up a little early again. Where I live, we have a day off tomorrow so I probably won't be back at my place until very late tonight so I thought you would all appreciate it if I updated early instead. Of course I wouldn't be able ot update so early if not for the hard work of Silverbolt and Zatnik. It also let me concentrate more on the dialogue for today's update, which I think is very important. I love writing for Starscream, I don't consider him the fumbling moron he was in the original cartoon (which was almost every Decepticon really, making the Autobots just seem like huge bullies) and also it takes down the threat level considerably if you know that the Decepticons really have no chance of getting in. Also I promise that no Autobots will die like they did in the Transformers 1986 movie by being shot in the arm... shot once... etc. etc.

Today's comic is both possibly the best and worst thing Megatron and I have ever created. And that is also why it is awesome.

Please address all hatemail to Megatron.

Today I'm posting the comic a little early because Zatnik, Solara and Silverbolt worked so hard on it and because once again, I have to continue working after this is posted and also once again, I have hockey tonight. I don't remember having so much hockey at once last year, I'm not quite sure what's going on this year with the schedules.

Thanks to everyone who is offering their worried support because of my recent ranting. To everyone that is helping me with the comics I really appreciate it. Not that drawing the comic is a chore, it's because I feel badly when I'm not able to create the comic to the best of my current ability for you.

I'm not sure what happened to my original February 5th news post, but there's been some hiccups on the site recently, mostly because I've been working with both my computer and my laptop so I probably forget once in a while to synchronize one to the other.

Today's comic was done by Megatron, and at the last minute too because I've had to work a lot this week getting my various projects done. And it's sucked. Thank you Megatron! he's always there to help me out.

Thank you once again to Zatnik, who really worked overtime and at the last minute (because of me) to ink this comic which unfortunately I think is a little punishing with all the new robots and the giant Cassetticon-filled cage.

This comic is basically leading up to what I have in mind for the Protectobots. Since I brought in First Aid and referenced them early on in the continuity, they'd be there and I have to deal with them being there. Also it brings the Cassetticons back in, who, along with Megatron, have been held prisoner by the Autobots.
