Comics in Disguise

Starscream drinks up
Sweet energon... eases the pain.

Once again the comic inks and colour credits belong to Silverbolt and Solara. Also special thanks for fixing up my weird perspectives and hands... I dunno why this weekend I had trouble with it. The Constructicon panels are always challenging because of the amount of robots on it, there's 6 of them and I try to at least show most if not all of them at once. Poor Hook, he's about to get pwned.

Already 20 pages into the current storyline... everytime I tell myself I need to get more concise... but I guess that's what happens when you try to get as many sub-stories into a giant plot as possible. Also I suppose 20 pages really isn't that much...

Thank you very much to my RL friend DarkAlman (who will hopefully sign up on this forum using that same name... he had it on the old forums). My body is... wrecked from last week and the week before and so I cannot draw. So Dark stepped up the plate and drew this comic. Thank you very much again, I think it's quite insightful into the whole mythos of the Primes and the Matrix and thank you for including Rodimus Prime and Unicron because I haven't yet.... >_<
The storyline will continue Monday!

Also, for those of you who don't know where the quote under the screencap comes from I apologize, it's the result of my co-workers.

So... very tired. But good news - our team won the Provincial Championships, so even though we came in 2nd in the city playoffs, we won big this weekend, upsetting a few teams for sure. I was still very stiff from last week's playoff run and this weekend we played 5 games in 3 days... so... so very tired. This also meant I had no time for inking/colouring - thank god Silverbolt helped me out again doing another wonderful job.

This comic brings us back to the Constructicons old arguments from the Dedication storyline. I have also constructed (ha ha) a hopefully a.) somewhat plausible b.) somewhat entertaining storyline of the origins of the Constructicons that at least combines two of the opposing origin stories from G1. (The third one I haven't decided yet if I'll bring in, it just seems a bit irrevelant at this time) We'll see how it goes...

Thank you very much to Solara and Silverbolt for colouring and inking the comic! It made my day. It also ensures there will be a comic ready for Monday, which I had been seriously doubting this past Monday because I will be playing hockey again all weekend out at the Provincials, which are over an hour out of town. But thanks to their hard work we have a great looking comic today and will have hopefully another one on Monday! Thanks again guys!

It's been so... so hard trying to ignore the questions about where Omega Supreme has been. I was wondering if people either a.) forgot about him or b.) thought I forgot about him :)

March 16th , 2009

Wow, March is almost half gone already.. that was extremely quick o_0
I've been very busy all weekend with my hockey playoffs... we got all the way to the gold medal game but ended up losing today in overtime =/
Luckily last night when I came home from the game I played I was able to put together a comic thanks to some help from Moonracer, Megatron and my friend who offered up some of the text you see in the comic. Thanks guys... it seemed really funny last night at 1am, I hope the readers find it somewhat amusing.

See you all Thursday!

March 12th , 2009

Well, it is still a Thursday update, even if it is a little late in the day... heh heh. Thank you everyone for your patience. I know myself personally when I go to check my webcomics and I see one hasn't updated I'm like, "Lazy artist..." ha ha.

So today's comic isn't extremely long... or action packed, but I felt we needed a bit of a story recap before we get into more craziness and it seemed like a good time to do it.

The next couple of weeks will be insane because of my city and provincial playoffs but I will do the best that I can, even though it might mean some shorter comics.

March 9th , 2009

I really need to stop being lazy and separate these two months, but it's pretty late right now so I want to post and head to sleep.

I thought I'd give a little for the comic today, it's 4 pages drawn out instead of the usual 2-3 I try to stick with nowadays for time reasons. But instead of breaking up the action and leaving another big cliff hanger I thought I'd follow through for the scene. I think if the Cassetticons gave the Protectobots a fair fight, the Protectobots would win. (They could form Defensor after all) So the only way they could lose is if the Decepticons got the sneak attack on them.

See you all Thursday!

March 5th , 2009

When Prowl stated in the last comic "This is the worst thing we've ever done." I thought back to our Valentine's Day comic and I figured perhaps Prowl had been wrong.

Now... going into today's comic- Hmmm.. the only consolation I have is that robot violence seems a little less gruesome than human violence so I hope people don't get turned off by the imminent robot battles. I mean it has to happen eventually, while this comic is based on the cartoon, I'd like to think it's a little more mature than that at times, otherwise it would be selling the gravity of the situation short. I realize I had said that robots wouldn't die in the same fashion that they did in the 1986 movie. And they won't. But I also didn't say that robots wouldn't die...

March 2nd , 2009

So today marks the first comic in... ages I feel.. that I've actually drawn, inked and coloured. I don't know if I did it the same justice that Zatnik's inking and Silverbolt's colouring does but I don't think it came out too shabbily. Luckily I had some time this weekend as my playoff schedule for hockey is kind of odd this week. I may have time to ink for Thursday's comic too we'll see.

Anyhow, remember when I said that I was doing a much more serious comic for this storyline? Well... There's Jazz. And... it can't be Jazz if it has to always be completely serious I feel. Enjoy!
