Go Ratchet, go! I found time to get this comic drawn yesterday, inked and mostly coloured, all in one evening! If I didn't have a chance to draw my comics I'd probably go insane, because the rest of the time I'm home is spent working. I've been battling a cold this week too but I refuse to go and see First Aid, despite the advice that has been given to me.
The downside to these shorter comics is they're a little more difficult to write, I hope you guys enjoy them!

I'm liking the new comic format. Even though I can't really reuse any images from past comics for it it seems to be less work for me, which is good for everybody because it also lets me draw out scenes I've been wanting to do but never had the time before. Like Starscream on Megatron's throne - originally when Shockwave was approaching Starscream I wanted a nice long shot of Starscream sitting on the the throne but I ran out of time and I just used the medium shot I had drawn previously.
But there's nothing quite like a smug Starscream. Why does he want the Combaticons to stay behind? The top middle screen in panel 1 hints at that reason.

Today's comic is brought to you by Megatron, the original evil overlord himself. Thanks to some whining and pressuring by myself, we are privelleged to another hilarious Megatron comic.
The comment thread for the comic will be going up later tonight when I get back from my hockey game (and when Megatron gets home from work) because he wants to thank everyone who helped inspire him for the comic, so come back in a few hours or so and you can leave your comments.

It's been a very busy weekend for me, I've been doing a lot of work and such, so it's kind of a miracle that I got this comic all done and that it's being posted at 10:30 at night. (Giving me another hour or so to do some work as well)
For the Retribution storyline, things are finally going to get going again but man oh man, that was a long Combiner fight. The middle with the Autobots and Thundercracker, etc. were necessary to bring in to both move the plot along to tie up a lot of loose ends and to give you the feeling that the Decepticons have been fighting forever.
But all that's changed now. Devastator appears to have been neutralied... Starscream is going to work with Shockwave for attacking the Autobots, Skywarp knows that Megatron needs him and has rejoined the Decepticons and Devcon is bringing Thundercracker in for his 'reward'. So naturally, things should hopefully get quite interesting again.

So today with a combination of working overtime, MSN messing up and corrupting files over hotmail, I couldn't get the comic up tonight, even with Solara and Silverbolt's tireless efforts of helping me ink and colour. Without Silverbolt inking and colouring I wouldn't even be able to post a comic tomorrow! The comic was done for tonight, but unfortunately couldn't make it through. I'll post it tomorrow evening for sure so stay tuned :) Technically tomorrow evening is still Thursday!

I'm trying something a little different in the comics starting now... Usually I make individual images, ink it separately, colour it separately then put it all together at the end. This time I tried inking them all as a couple pages, then putting them in black and white on the page, then colouring at the end. I'm not sure if it really goes a lot faster, but it seems that way and the images are slightly smaller so the comics aren't as large in size. We'll see if it works... I think it looks better for the more 'actiony' scenes.

You know those days where things just seem to go a little... slow? That was my night tonight, which is why the comic is up a little later than I wanted. Ah well... who needs sleep anyway! I almost think my day of training for two hours tomorrow might go better if I'm a little bit of a zombie for it.
The Decepticontributions thread is super funny this time around, I'm going to try to get some more contributions done tomorrow I think.

Happy Labour Day! To everyone that can take a genuine day off and relax a little. I 'had' brought a lot of work home to get done, but then felt it would be more productive of me if I just took some time for myself and slept in late... did some drawing, etc. And boy did I ever need it.
I hope everyone's been enjoying these out of continuity comics, they've been fun to draw. I'm hoping to get back into the storyline Thursday.
